MQM-P launches Muhajir Youth Movement
Decades after it doffed the word Muhajir the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) has announced the launch of Muhajir Youth Movement. "Join us with your eyes open, analyse, question, argue, but once in our fold, work with your eyes shut," MQM-P Convener Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said addressing a public gathering at the park adjacent to MQM-P Bahadurabad office.
He said a large number of people present here have been part of the All Pakistan Muttahida Students Organisation (APMSO), but for many others, today is the first time to have joined the MQM.
"You are the people who are determined in their hearts to fight the oppressors," Siddiqui said. "We are not showing you green pastures. The path is very difficult. We all have to work together. If you can work together and endure hardships, then come with us. We welcome you." The MQM-P convener said the person joining Muhajir Youth Movement will be a fighter for the cause of the Muhajir nation, an ambassador of the Muhajir nation.
"If you are ready to forget your first love and adopt MQM and fight for the nation, then come with us, we do not need mobs, we do not need any greed," Siddiqui said. He said that the youth who are 25 years old should submit their local body election forms and fight the case of the nation in the local, provincial and national assemblies.
"We have to make our nation educated and make the nation stand on its own feet, we have to adopt the path of sincerity, trust and belief of civilization," Siddiqui said.
He advised the APMSO units in educational institutions to go to their relevant Union Councils and promote the agenda of the movement
